Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I came to the United States as an international student and graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Organizational Communications. It was there that I came to faith in Christ and was called into ministry. For more than 20 years now, I have served with Every Nation reaching campuses, planting churches, and reaching the next generation and the nations as a missionary in the US, New Zealand, and Malaysia. Currently, I live in Cary, North Carolina, with my husband, John, and my four teenage children: Hannah, John, Jr., Christian, and Daniel.
For the last nine years, I’ve served as a minister on the campuses of UNC, Duke, NCCU, and NC State. And I have worked alongside the directors of those campus ministries to help mentor and equip the women campus missionaries who are reaching and discipling the 90,000 students in the Triangle region.
During my ministry for the past two decades, I’ve seen thousands of students and young people, including internationals, make a commitment to follow Jesus. Hundreds of young leaders have been equipped and sent out into their spheres of influence in both the marketplace and vocational ministry and the Gospel of Jesus Christ has been advancing in countless ways.
My passion is to see the personal wholeness of the body of Christ through engaging the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I believe I’m called to encourage, equip and empower others to thrive and enjoy their God-given purposes so that others around them could encounter Jesus through them.
In the next season, I will continue to reach out to college students at Duke, UNC, and NCSU. Still, I will be expanding my ministry to the community (including newly graduated college students, young adults, and professionals, singles, married couples, children, seniors, etc.) and the church. I will also begin to pursue further education in clinical mental health and counseling, incorporating both spiritual and clinical aspects of my ministry to bring greater wholistic personal health to individuals.
I am honored to serve and equip others to see more salvations, more ministers equipped in the great commission, and more followers of Jesus set free and empowered to live a victorious life!
