Born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Cindy came to the United States as an international student and graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Organizational Communications. She accepted Christ as her Savior and received a call to ministry and for more than 25 years now, has served with Every Nation, reaching campuses, planting churches and reaching the next generation and the nations as a missionary in the US, New Zealand and Malaysia.
For 13 years, Cindy served as a minister on the UNC, Duke, NCCU, and NC State campuses. She also worked alongside the directors of those campus ministries to help mentor and equip the women campus missionaries who are reaching and discipling the 90,000 students in the Triangle region.
For over two decades, Cindy has seen thousands of students and young people, including internationals, make a commitment to follow Jesus. She has helped equip and send out hundreds of young leaders into their spheres of influence in both the marketplace and vocational ministry, as the Gospel of Jesus Christ advances in countless ways.
Her passion is to see the personal wholeness of the body of Christ through engaging in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Cindy firmly believes in her call to encourage, equip, and empower others to discover, thrive, and enjoy their God-given purposes, thereby commissioning others to encounter Jesus through them.
Currently, Cindy serves college students at Duke, UNC, and NCCU by mentoring campus staff and interns. Still, she has expanded her ministry to the community (including newly graduated college students, young adults and professionals, singles, married couples, children, seniors, etc.) and the church. She has earned a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health and Counseling from Regent University, incorporating both spiritual and clinical aspects of ministry to bring greater holistic personal health to individuals.
Cindy feels honored to serve and equip others to see more salvations, more ministers equipped in the great commission and more followers of Jesus set free and empowered to live victorious lives! Cindy lives in Cary, North Carolina, with my husband, John and her four teenage children:
Hannah, John, Jr., Christian and Daniel.
