Bobby Laws is a native of the Research Triangle Park area in North Carolina. At the age of 17, he encountered the life-changing power of the Gospel, igniting a deep passion to share Christ with others. That passion soon revealed a calling. By 23, Bobby was actively preaching, which led him to pursue formal theological training to deepen his knowledge and sharpen his ministry.
Bobby holds a Bachelor of Science in Religion/Christian Leadership and a Master’s degree in Theology. Most recently, in June 2025, he earned his Doctorate in Expository Preaching and Teaching from Liberty University’s Rawlings School of Divinity.
With a heart for discipleship, Bobby believes the local church must be equipped to grow, reach, and never leave anyone behind. He currently serves in the Church Residency Program at King’s Park International Church and is an Associate Senior Pastor at Manna Church in High Point, North Carolina. His previous ministry roles have included small group’s ministry, teaching, church leadership development, and community outreach.
Bobby’s wife, Crystal, shares his passion for ministry and God’s people. Born in Sacramento, California into a large family, Crystal had a powerful encounter with God at the age of six that permanently marked her life for Christ. Today, she is a two-time Counselor of the Year Award recipient (2024 & 2025), a licensed and nationally board-certified school counselor, and a strong advocate for children’s mental health.
Crystal often says Bobby is her “taller half”—not just because of his height, but because he stands tall in character and God’s love. In return, Bobby says Crystal may be small in stature but is “mighty for God.”
Together, they are raising two amazing “kingdom kids.” Their daughter Brenda is already following in her father's footsteps—writing sermon notes, sharing insights, and even recording her own sermonettes on any device she can get her hands on. Their son BJ is full of joy and personality—a natural worshiper who expresses his love for God through dance. (He even won his church’s dance-off competition!)
