We baptize new followers of Christ by immersion in water, which was the way Jesus was baptized and the way the Bible describes baptism. Baptism is a word that means to immerse or to dip. Jesus was fully immersed in water as a sign of submission to God and His followers were later immersed in water as a sign of trusting in Jesus. We baptize new followers of Christ by fully immersing them in water, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit – in the name of Jesus.
